SELECTMEN'S MEETING
APRIL16, 2009
2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Approved as written.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF LAST MEETING: Approved as written.
4. SIGNING THE WARRANT: Approved and signed.
5. OLD BUSINESS:
(a) Cable TV Committee: The committee will meet April 18 at 10 am. Barbara Seckar noted that they still need members for the committee.
(b) D&E CONTRACT: Selectmen received one other price quote for operation of the Transfer Station but it was higher than D&E. On a motion by Tony the contract with D&E was signed.
6. NEW BUSINESS:
(A) OPEN BIDS FOR TOWN HALL REPAIR: The following bids were received:
RJ Construction $42,900
Englewood Construction $18,999
Noon Construction $20,750
Jode Murray $22,149
Selectmen will study the proposals to make sure everyone is bidding on the same specifications. Selectmen will make their selection after further study. Ken Paul has volunteered to serve as Clerk of the Works.
(B) SIGN CORRECTIVE DEEDS: Attorney Lenkowski called and said because Lupachini has been dead for over 3 years, there is no Estate of Jane Lupachini, and asked if Selectmen would make Corrective Deeds to the Heirs of Jane Lupachini, for the tax acquired property which was redeemed by the heirs.
(C) PAM MCALINDEN: Tony stated that there had been a mis-understanding - that the auditor had given wrong information to Pam, and the selectmen have apologized to her.
